SUMMER SLICE-A-THON MAKES A SPLASH

WHAT IS IT?

You (a home pizza-maker/hobbyist) can sign up to host a pizza party or pop-up to raise funds for our Pie it Forward project. We’ll use the funds to support shelters and soup kitchens in your area. Last year, participating home chefs raised $27k — that’s a lot of dough!

HOW DOES THE FUNDRAISING WORK?

Register to host a pizza party or pop-up and we’ll email you a unique QR code, which will lead to a crowdfunding page specifically for your fundraising. Guests can submit a donation in the size of their choice. You can donate any or all of the money you raise at your pop-up using the same QR code.

WHEN IS SUMMER SLICE-A-THON?

DO I HAVE TO BE A PROFESSIONAL PIZZA MAKER TO PARTICIPATE?

Nope! This campaign is designed specifically for home pizza makers to give them the chance to do #Pizza4Good. Whether you’ve been feeding your friends and neighbors have relied on you for Friday night pizza for years or you’re just starting out on your pizza making journey, this campaign is for you! We’ve put together a booklet with recipes and tips from a group of pizzaioli who are the foremost experts when it comes to making pizza at home to help guide you. This year, anyone who registers also gets FREE access to King Arthur Baking Company’s Classic NY-Style Pizza at Home course to accelerate your pizza learning.

CAN BRICK & MORTAR RESTAURANTS GET INVOLVED?

You can invite home pizza-makers in your your area to host a pop-up at your restaurant to benefit Slice Out Hunger. It’s a fantastic way for you to support pizzaioli of all stripes in your community.

ARE THERE ANY BENEFITS TO PARTICIPATING BESIDES SUPPORTING MY COMMUNITY?

YES! We’ll be sending prizes to everyone who signs up & raises a minimum of $100 at their party. Details below.

PIZZA PRIZES SUMMER 2026

PRIZE #1: “MOST DOUGH”

The individual pizza-maker who raises the most money through their pizza party by September 30 will win a fantastic prize package from King Arthur Baking Company including:

  • A year’s supply of their signature flours (All Purpose, Bread, Whole Wheat, & Golden Wheat)

  • A one-on-one virtual consultation with Martin Philip

  • King Arthur Baking’s brand new Book of Pizza

  • One bag of Semolina Flour

  • One bag of '00' Pizza Flour

  • One Wheat Tote

  • One jar of Pizza Seasoning

  • One 12” Baker's Peel

  • One Standard Dough-Rising Bucket

  • One PIZZA hat

PRIZE #2 “BIGGEST BASH”

The individual pizza-maker who hosts the biggest Summer Slice-a-thon party by September 30 will receive a prize package from Ooni Ovens that includes:

  • One Koda 2 Outdoor Pizza Oven

  • Two 12” Pizza Peels

  • One Thermometer

To be eligible, you must host your pizza party and have party guests donate through the QR code/donation link provided. Biggest bash will be calculated based on the most individual donors at the party.

PRIZE #3 “MOST PIZZAGRAM-WORTHY”

The individual pizza-maker who has the highest engagement on a post about Summer Slice-a-thon by September 30 will receive an incredibnle cinema, pizza, & wine prize package from Francis Ford Coppola Winery including:

  • Set of Two Wine Glasses

  • Wooden Wine Key

  • Live Cinema & Techniques by Francis Coppola

  • Movie Memory Game

  • Coppola Wooden Pizza Wheel

Home pizza makers are invited to submit an original pizza recipe paired to perfection with a Coppola Diamond Collection wine for the chance to win $10K cash prize OR a pizza-and-wine lover’s ultimate home upgrade!
