WHAT IS IT?
You (a home pizza-maker/hobbyist) sign up to host a pizza party or pop-up to raise funds for our Pie it Forward project. We’ll use the funds that you raise to support shelters and soup kitchens in your region.
HOW DOES THE FUNDRAISING WORK?
When you register to host a pizza party or pop-up, we’ll email you a QR code to display at the event. This QR code will lead your guests to a crowdfunding page for your pizza party. Your guests can submit a donation in the size of their choice or you can opt to donate a portion of the proceeds that you make at your pop-up using the same QR code.
WHEN IS SUMMER SLICE-A-THON?
You can host a pizza party or pop-up anytime this summer, between July 1 and September 30.
DO I HAVE TO BE IN A PARTICULAR LOCATION TO HOST A PIZZA PARTY?
Nope! You can do #pizza4good anywhere you want. It can happen in a parking lot, at your kids’ school, in your backyard, or even in your apartment building. We’ll be posting a map of registered pizza parties so you can see all the communities that are participating.
IS THERE A WAY FOR BRICK & MORTAR RESTAURANTS TO GET INVOLVED?
You can invite home pizza-makers in your your area to host a pop-up at your restaurant to benefit Slice Out Hunger. It’s a fantastic way for you to support pizzaioli of all stripes in your community.
ARE THERE ANY BENEFITS TO PARTICIPATING BESIDES SUPPORTING MY COMMUNITY?

Pizza Prizes Summer 2024
Most Dough
The individual pizza maker who raises the most money through their pizza party will have the opportunity to schedule a one-on-one pizza consultation with one of these three incredible World Pizza Champions via Zoom.

Tony Gemignani, Tony’s Pizza Napoletana, Slice House, Capo’s, Pizza Rock
John Arena, Metro Pizza
The individual pizza maker who has the highest engagement on a post about Summer Slice-a-Thon will receive a copy of Modernist’s incredible 3 volume book set, Modernist Pizza. To be eligible, you must:
Host your pizza party
Engagement will be calculated based on the combined number of likes & comments on a post

Most Pizzagram-Worthy
The individual pizza maker who hosts the biggest Summer Slice-a-Thon party will receive an Ooni Karu 12G Bundle which includes an oven, carry cover, and peel. To be eligible, you must:
Host your pizza party
Have party guests donate through the QR code/donation link provided
Biggest bash will be calculated based on the most individual donors at the party
